Nuevo Pudahuel

The new international terminal T2, currently under construction by Nuevo Pudahuel, will not only be able to welcome over 15 million passengers every year but will also welcome the arts with dedicated exhibition areas. Nuevo Pudahuel, together with the Chilean Borough Association, has staged an art intervention in which 52 up and coming artists, each representing one of the 52 boroughs in the Metropolitan Region, have created artwork embodying how they see the future changes that Arturo Merino Benítez airport will experience.

The artists created their pieces on the 5th, 6th and 7th of June 2016 to achieve a common goal along with the Ministry of Public Works. Additionally, Chilean artist Renate Neumann has created a giant mural to jointly celebrate the construction works for the new international terminal.

52 pieces now decorate the south access, and this exhibition will be displayed in different parts of the airport before moving to a permanent dedicated space to be enjoyed by the more than 30 million passengers who will visit us.
