Incoming passengers who hold an Australian passport should pay a Reciprocity Tax before going through the International Police security checkpoint, and then continue to Immigration Control.

1. International Police
Passengers must submit their travel documents, i.e. passport or identity card, and the duly stamped visa as necessary, at International Police every time they fly into the country.
International tourists are required to fill out a Tourist Card and hand in a copy of this document when leaving the country. Foreign residents in Chile must hand in a copy of this document upon their return.
Please note that Chilean nationals are not required to fill out a Tourist Card when traveling.
2. Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) Affidavit.
Every person over 18 years of age who enters Chile through Santiago Airport (SCL), must fill out the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) Affidavit and indicate whether he or she is carrying vegetable and/or animal products in order to avoid the entry of pests and diseases that could harm agriculture.
To avoid physical contact, the SAG has provided a Digital Affidavit available to passengers at sagingresoachile.cl or by a QR code available at the airport.

Departures Formalities
If you plan to travel by plane, please check the formalities you must follow so as to avoid problems when boarding your flight
Passengers should go to the Domestic Departures Lounge located on the third level, east end of the passenger terminal, to check in at their airline counter. If you have already checked in online, you may proceed directly to the airport security checkpoint (AVSEC).
Here passengers must show their Identity Card and Boarding Pass before they can enter the Departures Lounge, where they can enjoy all the available amenities.
Please note that the airport check-in fee (Tasa de embarque) for each flight is included in the cost of your ticket. Current check-in fee rates are as follows:
Domestic Flights
Passengers traveling further than 270 km » $5.700 (premium quality airport)
Passengers traveling less than 270 km » $ 2.251 (regardless of airfield’s category)
The boarding fees for domestic flights, established in local currency, are readjusted quarterly according to the variation percentage experienced by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) during that same quarter. These rates are flexible and belong to the Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC).
Passengers should go to the International Departures area, located on the third level, west end of the passenger terminal.
After checking in at the airport ticket counter or online, passengers should go to the Immigration counters, where their travel documents (identity card or passport, stamped visa for the country of destination, and boarding pass) will be checked by the International Police. If you are traveling with minors, you must carry additional documents such as a legalized parental authorization, certificates and/or family record book, as required.
Finally, passengers must go through the airport security checkpoint (AVSEC) before entering the Departures Lounge.
Please remember that if you are on a temporary visit to Chile as an international tourist, you must hand in the copy of your tourist card upon your return to your country of origin. Foreign residents in Chile, on the other hand, you should fill out a tourist card before traveling.
Departing passengers who have to re-enter Chile in the near future and are taking any valuables out of the country can make a Declaration on the Temporary Exit of Goods (DST) at a Customs Service office located on the right-hand side of the airport security checkpoint.
International Flights
All airports: Passengers going to destinations that are more than 500 kilometers away from the departure airport will pay US$ 25.
All airports: Passengers going to destinations with a distance of up to 500 kilometers from the departure airport will pay the equivalent to the first-category right in domestic flights $5.700.
These rates are flexible and belong to the Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC).
