NEW LONG STAY PARKING LOT PEHUÉN

For the construction of the new International Terminal 2020, the current Custodia parking lot will be closed in full at the end of July 2017. However, in order to maintain the original number of parking lots (3,730), the new parking lot will be in service on the same date Long stay: parking Pehuén,, which will have a capacity of approximately 830 seats. To get there follow these four steps:

1. After the sign for access to the airport prioritize your right lane, where 600 meters afterwards you have to turn right following the signposted "Custodia Pehuén Economic Parking". As a reference, you will have the sign that directs you to the Control Tower, the path is the same.

2. Complete the trefoil round by accessing the street Diego Barros Ortiz.

3. You must travel 500 meters down the road until you reach the parking lot access.

4. Turn to your left and you will have arrived.

How do I get from the parking lot to the terminal and vice versa? Go to the roofed whereabouts that will have the parking where free approach buses will pick you up and take you to the terminal with an approximate frequency of 10 minutes. If you need to go from the terminal to the parking lot, you should take the approach bus on the 1st floor, door 5.

CLOSING OF JEAN MERMOZ STREET

During the first half of June, for works in the air conditioning and electricity services of the future international terminal, Jean Mermoz Street will be completely closed. When this happens the current exit of the express-roofed parking lots will be closed and the new exits in east and west enabled. Users will no longer be able to return to Santiago via this route, but must do it on the 3rd floor of the airport and take the Armando Cortínez Poniente Avenue.
 

IF MAITÉN LONG STAY PARKING LOT IS FULL ¿HOW CAN I GO TO PEHUÉN LONG STAY PARKING LOT?

1. When you leave the parking lot, return to Armando Cortínez Poniente Avenue and turn left to the Bicentennial Monument.

2. By this route you will arrive at Armando Cortínez Oriente and on the second street in the direction of the air terminal, Pedro Pablo Dartnell, turn again to your left to return to Cortínez Poniente.

3. Prioritize your right lane until you reach Diego Barros Ortiz street. At the intersection turn to your right.

4. Continue on the artery where in 400 meters you will find the access to your left.

 

USEFUL INFORMATION: MAITÉN LONG STAY CAR PARK.

If you come to the terminal with relatives or friends, you should follow next steps:

  • First, go to the 3rd floor of the airport and left passengers with their baggage.
  • Then, go to the Maitén long stay car park, following the road.
  • After parking, walk to the stop where you will have to take Nuevo Pudahuel’s free shuttle buses to return to the airport.

 

NEW PROVISIONAL PARKING CAR FOR WORKERS.

During the first week of May worker will have to park in another provisional place, it capacity it will be 620 spots, it will be located next to customs building, it price will be free.

If you have to park there you have to take Armando Cortínez Oriente avenue and turn to the left in Pedro Pablo Dartnell, after 200 meters it will be the entry.

The provisional parking car for workers will allow start works of the International Terminal 2020, then if you are worker and you will travel in that dates, ask for information in order to will not troubles.

How can I go from the provisional parking car for coworkers to the Terminal?

You have to take the free buses by TurBus and Centropuerto in the stop located in Armando Cortínez Oriente Avenue, in front of the Cargo long stay car park.

How do I return from Terminal to the provisional parking car for coworkers?

You have to take the free buses by TurBus or Centropuerto on 3rd floor, between gates 4 and 5 and get off in the stop located in Armando Cortínez Poniente Avenue, next to the parking car.

NEW ACCESS FOR THE CURRENT LONG STAY CAR PARK

After drift in Armando Cortínez Oriente avenue, at the beginig of May will make a second main transformation for passenger. During May, the current access for the Long Stay Car Park will be closed. The parking will still continue working with a new access, with two porticoes, through the Aurelio Celedón Palma street. The access will be perfectly indicated, and the street will just have one sense, from east to west.

When work will start the Maitén long stay car park will be available.

This works will allow start the beginig of the construction the future International Terminal 2020.

IN CURRENT LONG STAY CAR PARK START WORKS.

After opening of the new Maitén long stay car park, it will start works in order to build the new international temrinal 2020. Works mean the slow clossing of the spots before 2017 is over when new Pehuén long stay car park it will be allowed, located at the south-west of the airport. The entry and exit it will keep. The closing means new roads wich will be inform timely. You have to follow next steps: 

  1. Enter for the pedestrian entry marked on green.
  2. If your car is on gray marked zone, you have to go to the corresponding exit marked on red.
  3. When you go out take the only possible road for come at the parking car exit.

On green marked zone will be SABA staff informing about the changes. Also, all users who have their cars on a closer zone, will have a brochure on the windshield inform how get out.

HOW CAN I GO FROM MAITEN LONG STAY CAR PARK TO THE TERMINAL?

Passengers who uses Maitén long stay car park there have a stop, where free shuttle buses move people closer to the terminal each 10 minutes. When they want return to the parking car, they have to take the bus on 1st floor in gate 5.

This buses have all necessary to take people with reduced mobility.

HOW CAN I RETURN TO THE MAITÉN LONG STAY CAR PARK?

If you are on 3rd floor at the airport and you want return to the Maitén long stay parking car, you have to return by westerly Armando Cortínez street and turn to the left where is the bicentennial monument. In this way you restart to the orient Armando Cortínez street, in the first corner, Sánchez Besa, turn to the left again in order to find the entry of the parking park at 200 meters.

HOW CAN I RETURN TO THE PARKING CAR?

After being for the 3rd floor, you have to return by westerly Armando Cortínez street and turn to the left in Pedro Pablo Dartnell street. When you come at the intersection with orient Armando Cortínez street turn to the left that way takes you to the current long stay car park or short and mid stay car park.

MAITÉN LONG STAY CAR PARK

During the month of March the Maitén Long Stay Car Park will be operative and will be located in the revenue sector of the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport. The new parking place will possess a capacity of 1.126 spots and will have an area of 32.000 square meters. In new long stay car park there will be special spots for people with reduced movility, old age and pregnants. This parking car will have all people need to have a good experience. The opening of the new parking car will allow the slow closing of the current long stay car park but the capacity will not be affected.

For parking users there will be a bus stop in the Sánchez Besa street where free shuttle buses will gather passengers to take them to the terminal, and vice versa, every 10 minutes.

How can I go to Maitén long stay car park?

To find the arrival of this parking, users will just have to prioritize their left track at the Airport entrance and then turn left in the first street, called Sánchez Besa. Everything will be quite reported with traffic transit signals at the Airport’s access. Yellow lines on map mark the way that you have to take, there will be traffic signs to help passengers.

How do I return from the airport to Santiago?

After cross two exits you have to turn to the left in Sánchez Besa street, turn to the left again in Armando Cortínez Poniente avenue. Blue line on map mark the way. 

CURRENT AND FUTURE PARKING CARS.

Due to the construction of the international terminal 2020, the currently parking cars will have different changes and, on the other hand, it will make new parking cars in order to keep the minimum spots capacity and the service will not affected. Know the locations in our video.

DIVISION IN ARMANDO CORTINEZ ORIENTE AVENUE

The opening of the Maitén long stay car park and current Works on long stay car park, two main changes will make on Armando Cortínez Oriente Avenue.

The first are the changes in May, due to the works on the current long stay car park, passengers have to take a drift in Armando Cortínez Oriente Avenue to short and mid stay car or 3rd floor the airport. The current long stay car park will be close, but at the same time, the new entry by Aurelio Caledón Palma Street will be operational.

Works will not affect to passengers because there will be two way available and stipulated with traffic signs.

NORTH PROVISIONAL CAR PARK

At the end of January, the North Provisional Car Park, located in the Armando Cortinez Oriente street, started operating. The parking will bring 166 new places which will duplicate the quantity of parking spaces. The parking will have LED illumination and a bus stop to gather passengers and carry them to the current terminal for free.

To get to this car park, just make the same route through the Armando Cortinez Oriente Avenue and turn right after the building.

PARKING BUS STOPS

There will be different bus tops on the provisional car parks to carry passengers to the current terminal 24 hours, and also there will be a stop on the gate 5 of the first terminal floor to carry them back to the car parks. The shuttle buses will be free and available every ten minutes. The two bus stops of the current Long Stay Car Park will still be working until its definitive closing in May, 2017.

NEW TRAFFIC FLOWS

The Short and Mid Stay Car Park will undergo through a variation in the traffic flow due to the construction works. The street located between the electrical substation and the thermal power station will be closed due to these works, and the gates for the current exit will be gradually closed. Therefore, Nuevo Pudahuel will bring different exit alternatives to the parking users:

For those who park in the Short Stay Car Park there will be two exits: one on the east side, with 4 public gates and another on the west side, with three public gates and one exclusive for taxis and buses. The passengers who use the Mid Stay Car Park will have three exit ways to the west side.

All these flow traffic changes will be properly informed with transit signals.

At the end of February, when all the gates will be available, the current exit will be completely closed.
