  • Ministry of Public Works (MOP)

    The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) has a mission to provide, strengthen and boost the creation of public infrastructure to enhance connectivity, protect the territory and its people, public construction and optmise water resources ensuring the provision of the environment to contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of the country as well as promoting equity, quality of life and equal opportunities. Minister Alberto Undarraga took the helm of the Ministry of Public Works on the 11th of March 2014.

    The Ministry’s strategic axes are to:

    • Promote the economic development of the country via an infrastructure with an inclusive spatial vision.
    • Promote the social and cultural development through infrastructure improving people’s quality of life.
    • Contribute to the sustainable management of the environment, water resources and ecosystems.
    • Reach a defined level of efficiency in the use of resources.

  • Servicio Nacional de Turismo (SERNATUR)

    The national service of tourism is a public organism in charge of promoting the development of tourism activity in Chile. It is carried out through the implementation of plans and programs that encourage competitiveness and participation of the private sector, the promotion of tourism, promotion of the destinations and safeguarding the sustainable development of the activity that will benefit visitors, domestic and foreign, providers of tourist services, communities and the country as a whole. AMB has a customer service Office, located in the international arrivals area.

  • Junta de Aeronáutica Civil (JAC)

    It operates under the Ministry of transport and telecommunications (MTT). It has the Mission of exercising the upper direction of civil aviation in Chile, managing public policies that promote its development and, especially, the national and international commercial air transport.

  • Servicio Agrícola y Ganadero (SAG)

    Responsible to avoid the arrival of external diseases or pests that can affect animals or plants and cause severe damage to agriculture. Phytosanitary controls are located in the international arrivals area and the cargo Terminal, where baggage of passengers, crew and organic shipments (fruit, milk, cheese, etc.) are controlled to verify that they comply with established sanitary regulations. SAG also certifies that the exports of products of animal or vegetable sources comply with all sanitary requirements. 

  • Servicio Nacional de Aduanas

    Responsible of the import and export controls. In addition, it protects the interests of the State and citizenship; supervising such operations and determining the duties and taxes linked to these; making sure you do not visit the country with goods that can be considered dangerous. There are control points set out in the international passenger arrivals area and the cargo Terminal.

  • Dirección de Aeropuertos (DAP)

    Dependent to the General Direction of Public Constructions (DGOP) of the Ministry of Public Constructions (MOP), which is in charge of expropriations or terrains, constructions, repairs and improvement of airports and airfields around the country, helping to contribute to a better connectivity and access of persons within the national territory.
    In AMB, the DAP is represented through the inspection Attorney's exploitation of the concession area.

  • Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC)

    Entity in charge of standardizing, certifying and supervise the aerial activities carried out in Chilean air space, and those executed by national users abroad. In addition, it provides air navigation services, weather services and airport services, in order to allow a safe, effective and sustainable activity. In addition, it is responsible for posts of Aviation Security (AVSEC), which are located prior to passenger boarding areas and the air cargo Terminal area access.

  • Carabineros de Chile

    Responsible through its 27th station for the public safety. Reinforces the law to ensure order and safety in the public sectors of the AMB international airport.

  • Policía de Investigaciones (PDI)

    Responsible for controlling the entry, exit and reentry of persons in the national territory and control of the permanence of foreigners in the country.
    Responsible for the operation of the counters of control of emigration and immigration of the Terminal. Another entity that operates in AMB is the counter-narcotics Brigade, which is in charge of preventing the trafficking of drugs and other related offences.

  • Servicio Nacional de Pesca (SERNAPESCA)

    Supervises the compliance with fishing rules and aquaculture, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards established by the sector. Particularly in the AMB airport, it focuses its activities in the Area of cargo: guaranteeing the health quality of fishery products and aquaculture for export, in order to comply with the health requirements of importing countries.

  • Tesorería General de la República (TGR)

    Responsible to collect, distribute and accounting services for the public Treasury. At AMB Airport it controls the payment of the tax of reciprocity, which is charged to foreign who enter Chile, charging equivalent sums required for Chileans who travel to those countries. Currently, these countries are Mexico and Australia. For them, there are cashiers located in the international arrivals area, whose operation depends on the TGR.
