Nuevo Pudahuel and Morpho Travel Experience create the "Plaza Chile" project
08/08/2023 This is a recreational area in the International Terminal (T2) that seeks to identify people with Chilean culture and landscapes, along with gift stores and gastronomic concepts for passengers to enjoy before continuing to the boarding area.On August 8, the first seed was planted to officially start the construction of "Plaza Chile", an innovative concept inspired by the cultural importance of the main squares of each city, which are meeting and recreation points throughout the country. This space, which is designed so that travelers can enjoy their last moments before departure, seeks to transmit the essence and cultural heritage of Chile.
"Plaza Chile" will have an area of 250 m² and will house a shop for the sale of crepes and coffee, among other foods, as well as an exhibition kiosk for entrepreneurial products. It will also have two curved LED screens forming a cylinder, which will offer high-definition immersive content to showcase Chilean landscapes, colors, textures and culture in collaboration with Fundación Imagen de Chile, with the purpose of promoting the country and the talent of its inhabitants.
CEO of Nuevo Pudahuel, François-Regis Le Mière, indicated that Plaza Chile "will be an iconic place that will reinforce the Chilean identity in our International Terminal, a building that proudly fulfills its role as a gateway to and from the country. In addition, this plaza will enhance the innovative commercial and gastronomic offerings that we have implemented in this space to improve the experience of all our passengers. We are sure that it will be a favorite place, which will mark an unforgettable farewell for those who leave Chile.
In front of the plaza, in a commercial area of 570 m2, three concept stores will be created, focused on products from Chilean entrepreneurs and artisans. The total investment of the project amounts to $1.5 million and will generate 40 additional permanent jobs.
Adriana Echandi, CEO of Morpho Travel Experience, expressed her enthusiasm for this project: "We are happy to announce one of the largest alliances that Morpho has made with the airport sector. We are expanding our footprint in Latin America, growing strong and in a very good way".
