NUEVO PUDAHUEL ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF NICOLAS CLAUDE AS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER ALONG WITH FOUR NEW MANAGERS
22/02/2024The Board of Directors of Nuevo Pudahuel has appointed Nicolas Claude from Groupe ADP as the new Chief Executive Officer of Santiago Airport’s concessionaire, succeeding François-Regis Le Mière, from VINCI Airports.
This change is based on a shared administration scheme between Nuevo Pudahuel’s main shareholder companies, Groupe ADP and VINCI Airports.
With extensive experience of 30 years in the airport industry, Nicolas Claude had already held the position between 2015 and 2019, when he took over as the first Chief Executive Officer of Nuevo Pudahuel. During his term, he took the task of launching the construction of Terminal 2, and, at the same time, managing the growing operation of domestic and international flights in the old Terminal 1, with annual increases of 10% in traffic, reaching a record of 24.8 million travelers in 2019.
Upon finishing his initial post in Nuevo Pudahuel, in 2020 Claude was appointed CEO of Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan. During his period, the airport, which is Jordan’s main gateway, was recognized by Airports Council International (ACI) as the best in the Middle East in customer experience, in the category of 5 to 15 million passengers.
After taking his position, Claude has defined as immediate challenges completing the refurbishing works of the Domestic Terminal (T1), recovering traffic after the pandemic and implementing action plans to continue improving both customer experience and airlines operation, in addition to fulfilling environmental and social sustainability objectives in the airport neighboring communities.
Nuevo Pudahuel’s shared administration scheme has also led to changes in management areas: the company appointed Natalia Acuña (VINCI Airports) as Finance Manager. Antonio Mendes (VINCI Airports) took over as Operations Manager, and David Dufros (Groupe ADP) was appointed as Commercial Manager. The company also nominated Juan Ríos as the new Legal Manager.
