SANTIAGO AIRPORT SURPASSED 10 MILLION PASSENGERS CARRIED BETWEEN JANUARY AND MAY 2024

During May, 55.3% of people traveled within Chile, while 44.6% traveled to and from abroad.Overall, 1.9 million passengers traveled through Santiago Airport during May, 10.7% more than the same period in 2023, according to data from the monthly report published by Groupe ADP, one of the main shareholders of Nuevo Pudahuel, together with VINCI Concessions and Gestione Concessioni.
According to the report, of the 1,910,222 travelers who flew through Santiago Airport, 1,056,928 people (55.3%) chose domestic destinations, while 853,294 (44.6%) traveled to and from abroad.
Therefore, between January and May of this year, a flow of 10,872,221 passengers were carried through Santiago Airport, which accounts for a 15.7% increase compared to the same period in 2023, and 0.74% compared to the figure recorded in 2019.
According to the report, 12,422 aircraft movements were recorded in Santiago in May (8.1% more than in 2023) and year-to-date totaled 68,726, 15.9% more than last year.
