SANTIAGO AIRPORT RECORDS MORE THAN 2 MILLION PASSENGERS DURING OCTOBER AND REACHES 21 MILLION SO FAR THIS YEAR
19/11/2024 • October reports from Groupe ADP and VINCI Concessions show an 11.9% increase over last year. • Domestic travel reached 1,251,681 passengers in October 2024, while international travel reached 1,003,210.An 11.9% increase in passenger flow was recorded at Santiago Airport during October, compared to the same month in 2023, according to the monthly reports by Groupe ADP and VINCI Concessions, the two main shareholders of Nuevo Pudahuel, the company in charge of operating the country’s main air terminal.
Reports record that 2,254,891 travelers went through Santiago Airport during October 2024, up 11.9% over the same month in 2023 and 20.2% over what was recorded in 2019.
Thus, in October of this year, domestic flights reached 11,750,124 (55.5%) travelers while international flights registered 1,003,210 (44.4%).
Between January and October of this year, passenger flow at Santiago Airport reached 21,587,639 people, a 13.3% increase over the same period in 2023. The difference is 4.8% compared to 2019, when it reached 20,604,590 travelers.
According to reports, 214,015 aircraft movements were recorded in Santiago in October (11.9% more than in 2023), which brings the overall January-October movements this year to 135,625.
