SANTIAGO AIRPORT WINS SKYTRAX AWARD FOR BEST AIRPORT STAFF IN SOUTH AMERICA

10/04/2025 Santiago Airport received important international recognition when it won the Skytrax Award for Best Airport Staff in South America, announced at the World Airports Awards 2025, held during the Passenger Terminal Expo in Madrid, Spain.

The Skytrax World Airports Awards recognise the world's best airports in various categories each year and are considered the aviation industry's highest accolade. This is the first time that Chile's main terminal has received this award, which is based on passenger satisfaction surveys that highlight the level of attentive and accessible service they receive at different stages of their journey at the airport.

Santiago, which is managed by Nuevo Pudahuel, a consortium formed by Groupe ADP, VINCI Airports and Gestioni Concessioni, has also regained its place in the world's top 100 airports, moving up 18 places to 98th in the ranking for 2024.

Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted said: "This is a fantastic achievement for Santiago Airport. Being named the best staffed airport in South America reflects the excellent impression they have made on their customers. This result is particularly significant for a first time winner and sets the stage for continued recognition in the years to come".

The General Manager of Nuevo Pudahuel, Nicolas Claude, was delighted with the recognition, stating that "this award recognises the dedication of those who work every day to provide our passengers with a high-quality experience: our team at Nuevo Pudahuel, the public services that operate at the airport, the airlines and related companies. Being the best airport in terms of staffing challenges us to continuously improve in order to meet and anticipate all the needs of those who travel through Santiago Airport".
